Touring caravans come in many body and layout styles, including full-height, pop-top and expander designs. Hybrid caravans, fifth-wheelers, teardrop caravans, toy haulers, vintage caravans and campervans can fall within different provider definitions.
Do not rely on the everyday label. Give the provider the make, model, year, registration, construction, dimensions and how it is used. Ask which product applies and check how unusual features or modifications are treated in the policy documents.
Four Questions for Any Type
- Does the provider accept this exact vehicle or caravan type?
- Is touring, off-road, onsite, residential or rental use accepted?
- How are accessories, modifications, annexe and contents insured?
- What geographical, road, storage or security restrictions apply?
